Reasons Your Business Needs a TV Channel
I say it all time, “Your Business Needs a TV Channel!” “A Roku channel is the new website.” Not just Roku, but On~Demand TV channels in general, I believe, are the new website. Why? Because On~Demand TV is the fastest growing segment of the in-home entertainment industry and the fastest growing new technology since the Internet. It now accounts for more viewers than both broadcast and Cable TV combined; every day, hundreds of millions of viewers worldwide get their entertainment from On~Demand TV sources and devices like Roku,Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV and that number continues to grow exponentially.
With that said, here are FIVE reasons you, as a Business Owner, absolutely NEED a Roku channel, followed by ONE way to get one cheap and fast:
TAKE THE YOU OUT OF YOUTUBE!
YouTube and a few other Business Related video sites are often the go-to for small business owners looking to promote their products. Sure, it’s a great way to get your brand out there, but unless your video is lucky enough to go viral, all of its promotions falls on YOU. Which, in most cases means you’re only promoting it to people you’re already engaged with through your social media and mailing list, which means, ultimately, you’re relying on THEM to share it and help with that promotion.
YouTube and those other sites do NOTHING — zero, jack shit — to help you actually promote your content. It’s a great way to store and deliver your content online, but when you step back and really look at it, HOW MANY views do you actually have on your business channel videos and related content?
If you can say millions or billions, you can stop here and probably don’t need to read any further. If you can’t say that, you need to read on, because your content is just getting lost among the other millions of businesses promoting their products on those sites.
A Roku Channel Will Reach Millions of Viewers Overnight
Roku isn’t a website, it’s a platform; and it’s not on the Web, or even on the computer screen ~ it’s on the TV screen, and the TV screen is still the most popular screen in the house.
Millions of people sign into Roku everyday to browse and watch content. Most of that content is Movies and TV, because “Movies & TV” is the #1 category on Roku — which kind of goes without saying since Netflix, Hulu and Amazon are at the top of that category.
Want to know what the #2 category on Roku is?
That’s right, people love to shop, and if you have a Business related channel on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast or any of the other platforms, you could be reaching millions of new customers EVERY. SINGLE. DAY!
